Liz Barton graduated from the University of Cambridge Department of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and has had a varied career – from three years in mixed practice to a one-year small animal internship and two years as a sole-charge night vet.
She works a combination of emergency and critical care late shifts and shelter medicine, and is director of Vetsnet – a free online resource for veterinary professionals.
“Anybody can go out and develop AI tools… and if they’re coming into our practices, we need to be able to determine how we integrate those into our clinical decision making in a way that actually benefits patient outcomes.”
