Luciana Santos de Assis MV, MSc, PhD, qualified as a vet from Lavras Federal University, Brazil, and received a PhD in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at the University of Lincoln, where she conducted research about “New approaches to the investigation of separation-related problems in dogs”.

She worked as a research fellow, and is a behavioural consultant with a special interest in behavioural problems in dogs and human-animal interaction.
