Before being appointed by SPVS as its first executive director, Nicola spent almost 10 years working for a large and successful membership organisation – the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists – having the opportunity to work in many different departments, such as ethics, NHS commissioning and professional conduct.

She has since remained within the charity sector, working in senior roles for organisations such as Alzheimer’s Society and Citizens Advice, and hopes to encompass the learning from and ethos of previous organisations in her role at SPVS.
